2012-07-03

To celebrate the centenary of the founding of Bank of China, Bank of China Limited has issued the Bank of China 100th Anniversary Commemorative Notes, in denomination of MOP100 in February 2012.

The front side of the 100th Anniversary Commemorative Note is tinted in gold and  illustrating the Bank of China Head Office Building which is designed by Mr. Leoh Ming Pei, the world famous Chinese American Architect. The background has incorporated the magnificent Great Wall and the press release of the founding of the Bank of China in 1912, representing that Bank of China, with a long history, will pursuit the commitment to excellence, the philosophy of steady operation, be customer oriented and trustworthy. In the middle of the front, there is a number “100” in Chinese calligraphy to highlight the commemorative theme of the note. The symbol of “∞” has been used to replace the “00” of “100” to imply that Bank of China will continue to prosper and grow without limitation.
